I paint what I want to see.

나는 매일 내 마음을 들여다 본다. 그곳에는 내가 좋아했던 오후 네시의 햇살과 귀여운 동물들과 꽃과 나무, 그리고 엄마의 노랫소리가 있다. 나는. 고개를 조금만 돌리면 사라져 버릴듯한 그 순간들을 그림으로 남기고 싶다. 무언가 또한번 해볼 수 있을 것 같은 용기, 내가 좀 괜찮은 사람이라는 확신 같은 것들 혹은 순수한 감동 그 자체. 그런 것들을 그림을 통해 얻을 수 있다면 더 바랄 것이 없겠다.

I wonder what’s inside my heart. I look within everyday. There, I find the four o’clock sunlight I love, cute animals, flowers and trees, and mom’s singing. I want to capture in my paintings those fleeting moments that might disappear if I turn my head, even for a moment. The courage to try something once again, the quiet certainty that I am a good enough person, or simply the pure feeling of being moved. If I can find those things through painting, I don't think I could ask for anything more.
